About RAD

Miss. Hannah: She is afraid of your Love. I can teach you to do rubbing and tapping on her.

Martin: You have to trust your Mom. You have to let your Mom be the BOSS!!!!! You should NOT throw fits!!!!!!!! You SHOULD NOT tell lies!!!!!! I'm just trying to help you. You should NOT argue or be DISRESPECTFUL to your Mom. Your Mom is trying to help you!!

Stephanie: I can see what your brother is doing. I am GLAD you are doing GOOD!!!! I will love it if you would write your FRIEND!!!!!!!!

I had a bad day yesterday and today. I screamed at my Mom and I've been mean, disrespectful, and RUDE to my Mom. I've been acting like a RAD kid. It makes me feel MAD that I've been mean to my Mom. I am trying to be a NORMAL kid now!!

Sincerely

J

The Social Workers

Stephanie: I used to do those things to but not anymore. My birthparents did all those things TOO!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for being BRAVE!!!!!! and telling me your story.

SW took away my therapists because they didn't believe in RAD!!!! That hurt alot. They never told any of my homes that I had RAD!!!!!! They never showed them how to help me. If my good FM hadn't told my Mom that I had RAD she wouldn't have known. My Mom got me the help I needed. Bad SW need to go to JAIL for hurting kids and not finding them good homes. They make me MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would let Puddin BITE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And other DOGS BITE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kids need one home!!!!! THEY DO NOT WANT TO BE A FOSTER KID!!!!! THEY WANT TO BE A REAL KID WITH REAL PARENTS!!!!

Miss. Kristina is a nice, nice SW though!!!

BE NICE TO YOUR MOM TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sincerely,

J

P.S. HI, Miss Chrissi!! I am glad you're PROUD of me!!!!!

The Past

Meg: My main goal is be a NORMAL little kid! That's ENOUGH!!! I do want to help other kids that have RAD.

When I was in FOSTER CARE people touched my private parts, people let me hit my HEAD, they beat me, the bad FM beat my head, locked me in a closet, made me SLEEP in a bathtub and on a rug by a door, and my sister tried to drown me when I was a baby. It wasn't OK!!!!!! I had a bad life. It was really, really hard to take care of myself.

My Mom tells me my past does not define me . I think she's right!!!

Today is a new day. I have a safe home and a Mom that LOVES me no matter what I do.

Sincerely

J

!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for being BRAVE!

Linda B: I wish I could visit her. I did those things to my Mom alot. It was because I didn't want her love because I thought it was unsafe. I was scared of LOVE. Maybe have her do TAPPING on LOVE IS STRONGER THAN FEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She has to want to get better first you know.

I used to bite, hit, kick, scratch, spit, scream, break my door, hurt Puddin, and break my Mom's stuff.

This is not who I am today!!!! I don't want to be a RAD kid!!! There is HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kim: It feel safe!!!

Listen to the words of my favorite song (I learned to copy and paste!!!!!!!!!)

Maybe we're all different
But we're still the same
We all got the blood of Eden running through our veins
I know sometimes it's hard for you to see
You're caught between just who you are and who you wanna be

If you feel alone and lost and need a friend
Remember every new beginning is some beginning's end

Welcome to wherever you are
This is your life; you made it this far
Welcome, you gotta believe
That right here, right now you're exactly where you're supposed to be
Welcome to wherever you are

When everybody's in and you're left out
And you feel you're drowning in the shadow of a doubt
Everyone's a miracle in their own way
Just listen to yourself, not what other people say

When it seems you're lost, alone and feelin' down
Remember, everybody's different; just take a look around

Welcome to wherever you are
This is your life; you made it this far
Welcome, you gotta believe
Right here, right now you're exactly where you're supposed to be
Be who you want to be, be who you are
Everyone's a hero, everyone's a star

When you wanna give up and your heart's about to break
Remember that you're perfect; God makes no mistakes

Welcome to wherever you are
This is your life, you made it this far
Welcome, you gotta believe
Right here, right now you're exactly where you're supposed to be
Welcome to wherever you are
This is your life, you made it this far
(I say welcome) Welcome to wherever you are
This is your life, you made it this far
(welcome) you gotta believe
Right here right now, Welcome

The Life Before My Mom Got Me

BAD people hurt me. My birthmom, birthdad and birthsister hurt me too. A fostermom hurt me many times. A social worker kept sending me back there and to too many homes. When I was a baby nobody took good care of me. Back then when I was a baby BUGS crawled on ME. I still HATE bugs. Nobody kept me SAFE. I had to take care of myself, or I would DIE. This is why I have RAD. I am embarrassed to tell you other things but maybe another day.

Social workers need to keep kids safe and don't let them go from home to home or stay with BAD PEOPLE and birthparents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do you have RAD?

Thank you for the comments. I LOVE the stickers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stephanie: I feel scared around new people and lots of people. I used to make myself sick too. I threw up on my Mom alot. If she gave me something sweet I would throw it up under my bed. Back then I didn't want my Mom's LOVE, but now I do!!!!!

Bethany: when I get mad I throw a fit. Now most of the time I use other ways to get my mad out. It's HARD!!!!!!!!!!

Remember: Love is STRONGER than fear. Listen to your Mom all the time.

Thank you for the comments. I LOVE comments!!!! Thank you for being BRAVE!!!!!!!

My Mom and I are making videos on tapping and brushing and rubbing. If you want to see them email my mom.

Good Morning!!!!!!

Look at my STICKERS!!!!!

Miss. Brenda: My MOM makes me feel the most safe when we do baby time and she doesn't let me be around STRANGERS.

Miss. Ashley: I snuggle with HONEY BUNNY!!! My Mom gave me Honey Bunny. Cuddle things are AWESOME!!!!!!!! It makes me feel awesome and safe when my mom cuddles. It's very safe under all the blankets. Can you tell me what it feels like to have cerebal palsy.

Miss. Linda: I was 5 when my mom found me. I wish my mom had found me when I was born. I felt mad because it took so long for her to find me.

Miss. Annette: I'm afraid other kids might not like me. I don't like to give up control to other people. That's scary.

Miss. Corrine: RAD is hard. Rad is old behavior. It means being mean to your mom, being mean to your pets, being mean to everyone. RADS don't trust anybody. RAD kids feel like they have to be in control. NORMAL kids don't. RAD feels scared, mad and being mean to everyone and every pet all the time.

The hardest part is not RELAXING and having to be in control.

Miss. Sassy: I feel like I have to be in control and not following the rules. RAD kids are not fun.

I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY MY LETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited I have stickers! My friends Winnie and Phoebe came over to play with me today. I don't know how to play with other kids yet because I still like to be the boss. My mom is helping me learn how to play with other kids. Nobody hurt Winnie and Phoebe when they were babies so they'r not like me. They know something is wrong with how I play but they still play with me. They try to help me too. I still feel scared when other kids are around me and I feel mad whenever kids are around me too. I feel mad because I want to be the boss and I want to be the boss because I'm scared too.

It's time for me to go do my tapping and go to bed. I'm listening to Reiki music tonight.

Thank you for the nice comments. HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What would you like to know about being a RAD kid?

My First Blog

Ok. My mom let me have my very own blog. I hope that you can see the way I am changing my life. My mom told me that you might have kids that have RAD too. I am going to write about being RAD and how I'm working hard to have a normal kid life. You can ask questions if you want to. Maybe it will help another kid who wants to get better.

Miss Kristy told me that I am anxiously attached so now I am working on being securely attached. See I'm still worried that my mom might leave me or throw me away or she might not come back for me. I had a lot of that before my awesome mom found me. It wasn't fun. A lot of people hurt me and didn't take good care of me. Mom does take good care of me all of the time but sometimes i don't believe it especially when I get scared.

I had lots of practice being RAD so sometimes I forget and do things before I think. I'm learning how to practice doing normal things. It takes lots and lots of practice. Sometimes I think I can't do it. I've done lots of bad things to my mom but she still loves me no matter what.

I am waiting for lots of stickers.
