I am so excited I have stickers! My friends Winnie and Phoebe came over to play with me today. I don't know how to play with other kids yet because I still like to be the boss. My mom is helping me learn how to play with other kids. Nobody hurt Winnie and Phoebe when they were babies so they'r not like me. They know something is wrong with how I play but they still play with me. They try to help me too. I still feel scared when other kids are around me and I feel mad whenever kids are around me too. I feel mad because I want to be the boss and I want to be the boss because I'm scared too.

It's time for me to go do my tapping and go to bed. I'm listening to Reiki music tonight.

Thank you for the nice comments. HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What would you like to know about being a RAD kid?

J,

I'll ask you a question if you'll ask me one :) I have a physical disability that makes it hard for me to walk easily or to do a lot of thins for myself. It's called Cerebral Palsy- Your Mom might tell you more about it if you ask her.

MY question for you is do you like things to cuddle? How does it feel when you cuddle with Mom or are under all those blankets on your bed?

Do you have a question for me?

I am excited to add my sticker to your blog! This is the first time I've followed a blog. :)

This is the first blog I have "followed" also. I am excited to be one of your stickers.

My husband had a lot of bad sad things happen to him when he was a kid, but he was not blessed enough to get an awesome mom like yours to help him. So I try to help him now. Reading about your therapies and your progress and your hard work helps me help him. He is a very good daddy, and loves his 2 sons very much, because he wanted them to have what he did not have.

I will keep praying for you as you work hard to get better.

Love and prayers
Kathleen

We didn't know about attachment therapies when we adopted our 16 yr old as a 10 mos old. She is having many problems now. I feel we missed many opportunities to help her and feel terrible about that. We have a 12 yr old that is anxiously attached, I can understand that attachment disorder so much better than RAD. I don't even know what to ask you, but I know I will be learning from you. Can I ask at what age were you adopted by your mom?

J,
A lot of times I want to be the boss too. I think it is because I am afraid to loose control of the situation. What do you think you are afraid of, if you let your friends choose what to play and how you play it?

Hi J! This is an awesome blog. You should be so proud of yourself.

I was the foster carer of a five year old girl with RAD and it made me very sad that people couldn't see how awesome she was because they were distracted by her RAD behaviours.

I really hope that with you and your Mum's hard work you can feel like a normal little kid and can feel safe and loved forever.

My question is, what part of being a RAD kid would you like to change most?

Take care.

I sometimes get scared and bossy around other people too. It's hard work to heal and learn to play. I'm glad that you're getting the support to learn to play while you are still young. It's much harder when you're 30 ;)

What a brave girl you are sharing your story.
I would like to know your definition of RAD, and what the hardest part about living with it is for you...
